Luftbilder Ostseefjord Schlei, Maasholm, Port Olpenitz, Schleimünde | Maasholm liegt auf der Südwestspitze der früheren Insel Oehe, die zusammen mit der Lotseninsel in der damals wesentlich breiteren Schleimündung lag und ursprünglich eine Insel zwischen zwei Schleiverbindungen zur Ostsee war. An der Südseite von Oehe gab es bereits eine Wikingersiedlung, und Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts diente die Insel als Jagdgebiet des dänischen Königshauses.
